How will phone number validation help my business?

What services does Data Soap offer?

Data Soap currently offers Advanced HLR (Mobile Validation), Landline Validation, Email Validation, TPS (consumer), CTPS (corporate) and DNC (Do Not Call) screening.

What is the cost of the Data Soap service?

Data Soap is a cost-effective, pre-pay service that allows you to top up via your account using PayPal. There are many different bundles available online which include Advanced HLR (Mobile Validation), Landline Cleansing and TPS credits. We can also tailor a package to suit your needs and type of business. Please contact your Account Manager for bespoke package pricing.

How do I clean my data on Data Soap?

How many numbers can I validate at once?

There is no limit to the amount of numbers that you can check via the portal, however it is important to bear in mind that the larger the batch the longer it will take to upload and process.

Do I have to wait while my lists upload?

File uploads are handled through the browser and received by our web servers. You will need to wait for your file to upload before the batch job can begin processing. Once processing has begun, there’s no need to wait, you will receive an e-mail notifying you when your job is complete and your file is ready for download.

I have multiple websites, can I use the API version of the service across all of them?

Yes you can. The API conducts multiple lookups simultaneously, with requests being submitted from several domains and/or servers. This can be provisioned under a single user account for ease of use.

What do I need to do to begin using the Data Soap API?

Begin by creating your free account. Once your account has been set up, you will have access to the Help section where you will find our simple API Integration document explaining how it works. Our UK technical team are also on-hand to answer any questions you may have.

Is Data Soap fast enough to use in real-time?

Yes, we operate a dual redundant and dedicated back-end, which we believe to be the fastest and most reliable in the UK. We typically return the result of your mobile lookup in less than 2 seconds and your landline look-up in up to 4 seconds.

What is the best option for me, batch uploads or the API?

The Batch Uploads method allows you to import a list of numbers in a straightforward text or CSV file. Data Soap will then validate your data for you, and once completed you will receive an email letting you know your file is ready and results can be downloaded. This is the simplest option for most people.

The API allows you to integrate Data Soap directly into your existing website(s) or service. This allows you to validate mobile and landline results in real time, and store results directly in your own database.

Can I download invoices for my purchases via Data Soap?

Yes. You can access your invoice for all bundles purchased via the Data Soap portal by going to the "Profile" section and selecting "Payment History".


What information does Data Soap return for an HLR (Mobile Validation) lookup?

Data Soap returns the network, mobile network code, country of origin, mobile country code and ON/OFF status of the device.

Do I use up Advanced HLR (Mobile Validation) credits if the number is shown as ‘OFF’ or appears on the TPS?


What is the speed of a HLR look-up?

We typically return the result of your HLR look-up in less than 2 seconds.

Landline Validation

What information does Data Soap return for a Landline Validation look-up?

Data Soap returns an "ALIVE" or "DEAD" result for the line.

Do I use up Landline Validation credits if the number is shown as "DEAD"?


What is the speed of a Landline Validation look-up?

We typically return the result of your HLR look-up in less than 4 seconds.


What is the difference between TPS and CTPS registers?

The TPS register is a residential list of individual consumers who have added their personal telephone number to stop marketing calls. The CTPS is a list of businesses who do not wish to receive marketing calls.

What is the DNC (Do Not Call) list?

Our DNC list is made up of around 1.9m individuals who have requested that their details are removed from various marketing lists but who may or may not have added their numbers to the TPS registers. Removing people on the DNC list will significantly reduce complaints.

What information does Data Soap return for a TPS/CTPS/DNC look-up?

Data Soap provides you with three "YES" or "NO" results; one for TPS, one for CTPS and one for DNC.

Can TPS/CTPS/DNC check landline numbers as well as mobiles via the portal?


How up to date are the lists for TPS/CTPS checks?

Liquid11 Data Ltd is a TPS/CTPS licence holder and we download a copy of the TPS/CTPS register to screen against daily.

Email Validation

What information does Data Soap return for an Email Validation look-up?

Data Soap returns the HIGH/LOW quality result, whether it’s a "free" email, whether it's a disposable email, whether it is a role based email and whether it accepts all mail.

What is the speed of an Email Validation look-up?

We typically return the result of your Email Validation look-up in less than 1 second.

Unsubscribe Service

How does the Unsubscribe Service work?

Your unsubscribe number can be passed to complainants by your agents as well as advertised on your website. A customer calls your dedicated unsubscribe number to remove their number from your marketing lists and we collect their details for you via our automated system. You can then screen against this list at any time via the Data Soap portal.

Where can I find my unique unsubscribe number?

Your unsubscribe number is generated as soon as you create your Data Soap account. Once logged in you will find this via the "Unsubscribe" section.

Can I upload my existing lists to screen against?

Yes. This can be done via the "Unsubscribe" section using the "Drag & Drop" tool.

How do I cancel my plan?

What happens to my data if I cancel my subscription?

Any data that has already been cleaned will stay on your account until 90 days after the data was uploaded and then it will be deleted as part of our standard data retention policy. Within this 90 day period you can still download your cleaned data at any time.

Do you store my credit card details?

You card details will be stored with our bill payment provider, Paypal.

How long are your contracts?

Contract lengths vary dependant on what level of saving you choose. You can still use the service as normal without having to subscribe by buying single top ups.

What are the payment options?

You can pay for the service either via credit/debit card via PayPal.

Where can I get a copy of my monthly invoices?

You can access your invoices for all bundles purchased via the Data Soap portal by going to the ‘Profile’ section and selecting ‘Payment History’.
